After the death of my first German Shepherd, I got Kyser. Unfortunately, I didn't educate myself as much as I should have before getting him. I bought him from another backyard breeder albeit a slightly better one. However this time I was dedicated to be a better owner. 

After doing puppy classes, group and private obedience classes, I looked into more things that I could do with him to develop a better relationship with him and to challenge him both mentally and physically. That's when I was introduced to the sport of Schutzhund. We joined a schutzhund club just before he turned 2 years old. 

We both fell in love with the sport. And he was a great dog to learn with. Although it was very clear that he had a better bond with my boyfriend. So I dragged my boyfriend into the sport where they both have grown greatly together. 

Since we first started the sport, we found out that he has mild hip dysplasia and elbow dysplasia in both elbows. You would never really be able to tell but we continue to monitor him and will only continue the sport as long as his health allows it.
